This model is from the very earliest launch in 1956. It is the Rover 90 with a friction motor, probably the least popular of the early models.
The 204M Mechanical model was usually produced with a solid fairly bright shade of green and this is a less common paint finish.
The paintwork on this one is very good and all original and the motor does work. The windows are also very clean and clear and the silver paintwork is good. I don't think this was played with a great deal and was kept in its box for most of its life.
The 204M box is particularly scarce these days and, whilst this one is very worn, with tape in several places and a few flaps missing, it is still an item of some value.
A genuine example of a quite hard-to-find edition.
