For your consideration, we are offering for sale this scarce 1964/1965 New York World's Fair Parker Jotter Ball Point Pen with Sterling Silver Barrel sleeve with the black accent color.
Parker produced a line of pens that were a part of a souvenir line made for the New York World's Fair in 1964/1965.
The barrel has a sterling silver filigree (cut-out) sleeve that the Parker Jotter design recognized for the World's Fair occasion. This Parker Jotter model has the early 1960's Jotter design with the button top being rounded without Parker's logo on top, the barrel threads are the fine, cap threads are made of brass, and the refill is the old Parker original refill in working condition.
The sterling barrel sleeve overlay reads, "New York World's Fair 1964 1965 with the Globe logo". The Parker cap has the "PARKER" imprint on the cap lip under the clip and "Made in USA" on the backside. There are no dings or denting. There is less than normal use wear to the overall pen considering the age.
The button/clicker works to propel the ballpoint tip from the barrel and retracts back into the barrel.
The cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Jotter measures 5 1/16" inches in length.
These Parker World's Fair Jotters are highly collectible and very difficult to source. I would consider the pen to be in excellent condition.
